Hey, everyone!!! I hope you all survived the rain in L.A., the snow and below zero temps some states have been facing. BRRR!!! Ok, but seriously Spring/ Summer are right around the corner bikini season will be here before we know it. You are probably wondering why I am posting this in February, well the answer is simple.. self tanning is not for a rookie, especially right before a big event. Or during the summer while we are all wearing shorts and sun dresses. Tanning products should be tested and mastered during the winter season when you can cover up that big streak on your leg, or back. I have been working hard to find the perfect self tanning products for all of you! I tried 5 different ones, multiple times just to be sure they were good. Leaving some of my tips and tricks below, and I will just say it now, Isle of Paradise is my #1 FAVORITE out of the 5.
My Self Tanning Tips & Tricks
1. Exfoliate very well especially if you have residual tan from a previous application * Linking my FAVORITE exfoliating gel. I use this head to toe, twice a week.
2. Make sure you purchase a Mitt (you will thank me later) This makes for a smooth application, I promise.
3. Always apply a thin layer of lotion to your knees, elbows and feet before applying any tanning solution.
4. If you want to apply it to your face, make sure you mix equal parts of your face moisturizer to tanning solution. Never apply it directly to your face unless it is intended for your face.
5. If you are using a spray make sure you are in a well ventilated area
6. It's always nice to have an extra set of hands in case you need them, call in your cabana boy, husband, friend, wife, whoever! lol

If you are someone who is concerned with your tan looking "Orange or Fake" no need to worry with this one. This is the most natural looking, longest lasting tan I have ever tried. This company carries it in multiple different types meaning drops (add them to your lotion of choice), foam, and tanning water. It is cruelty-free, 100 percent vegan, organic, and made using certified organic I ingredients, hypoallergenic ingredients, and pure oils. It does not contain mineral oils, petrolatum, gluten, GMO, or toxins. Have your cabana boy ready if you are using the foam, I struggled with my back a little..I had to call in the troops. Haha! #2 Rodan + Fields ESSENTIALS Foaming Sunless Tan
I LOVE this one! Easy foam application with a natural glow, more on the gold side but I wouldn't say orange at all, it is very natural looking. It didn't last as long as the Isle of Paradise, but some of you might not want a tan to last that long. This was a solid 4 days per application. It contains Vitamin C and Vitamin E to protect against free radicals, it is lightweight, easy to use and it dries very quickly. I had beautiful results and I will be using it all summer long.

#3 Fake Bake Instant Self Tanning 5 Minute Mousse
Fake Bake has always been a favorite of mine, I recently tried the mousse and it is Awesome! I really love how much control you have while using it. #4 Hempz So Bronze Self-Tanning Lotion
So bronze leaves you with a beautiful tan! It's more of a golden, sun kissed tan. It is super easy to use, and absorbs into the skin nicely. Tan develops pretty quickly which is a plus. So bronze is actually pretty moisturizing (most are not in my opinion) and creates an even bronze tone while leaving skin soft. It contains Vitamins A, C and E and has a subtle fragrance which is nice because we all know self-tanning stuff doesn't always smell great.

#5 Body Drench Quick Tan Bronzing Spray
This is by far the best self-tanning spray I have ever tried! It sprays at every angle 360 degrees which means getting your back and butt is easy to do! Yay!! It dries quickly, leaves a really gorgeous color behind. No need for a tanning mitt or glove because the mist that comes out is so fine you will not see any lines or streaks. It is a winner, especially if you are a beginner at this whole tanning thing.
